Welcome to the new Delton, Michigan Community Web Pages!
The Delton Community Web Pages is celebrating its 5th anniversary with a major revamp of the entire web site. Lots of new features have been added.

The Photo Archive has received a major update. Photos are now organized into seperate albums by subject. Albums and photos may be searched by any keyword in the subject or caption, in effect creating a custom album. Prints of any selected photos may be ordered online through several services, including shutterfly.com, for a reasonable charge and the photos are mailed directly to you via USPS.

All photos from the old site are in the process of being converted to the new photo gallery and will appear over the next few weeks.

The entire delton-mi.com web site is searchable with the Google search engine at the top of the home page. On the results page you may then search the entire internet if you don't see what you are looking for here.

The home page now includes a 7-day forecast for the Delton area from weatherforyou.com. Also included on the home page is an event calendar for the Delton area, showing the next 3 months. If you have any event you want listed on the calendar, please send an e-mail to the Webmaster using the link on the bottom of the page.

All delton-mi.com pages also have a comprehensive navigation menu on the left. All off-site links should open in a new browser window. All of the information on the old site has been updated and checked for link rot.

Also, please visit our sponsor web sites. Their contributions help make this site possible. Please see more information here if you would like to become a sponsor too.

Delton Sign Project

Proposed sign as it might appear with new streetscape.
A fundraising campaign has been organized and kicked off for the Delton Sign Project. Plans have been drawn for the construction of two granite signs to be placed at the North and South entrances to town. The signs will be composed of materials that will be maintenance-free and withstand the Michigan climate for many decades to come.

The Delton Rotary Club has pledged $2,500 for the signs. The endeavor has been named the club's Centennial Celebration Project in commemoration of the 100th year of Rotary International. The sign committee will be writing for a matching grant from a community foundation to double Rotary's pledge. The total cost of both signs will be $12,000, which consists of $4,000 for each granite slab and $2,000 for each base.

The design has been rendered by Rotary member Wes Knollenberg, who is also the project chairman. Members of the CAD drafting class at Delton Kellogg High School have constructed a scale concept model of the signs and CAD drawings, which are available for the community to view at the Delton District Library. Rotary and community members have offered construction services and landscaping materials in donation.

Cans have been placed in businesses around Delton, providing an opportunity for community members to donate to the project. The goal of this project is to give the community a lasting tribute and to instill community pride.

For information about the project or about how to make a tax deductible donation contact Wes Knollenberg at 269-623-4547 or send email to ecovision @ mei.net.
